General Shipping Policy
The products available on DiscoverHolmesCounty.com are from area businesses that do not or cannot have their own online stores. As such, the shipping methods used, shipping times, and product delivery may be different depending on the products you purchase. Our general shipping policy is listed here along with some specific details about shipping for products from specific businesses.
We currently ship products in the United States only via USPS, UPS, or FedEX. Most orders ship from Holmes County, Ohio within 1-3 business days. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday.
The shipping amount quoted with your online order is an estimate. Actual shipping charges will be calculated at the time the order is shipped. In order to best serve you, we reserve the right to choose the most effective, efficient, and affordable shipping method for your order. We are able to ship USPS, UPS, or FedEX and will select the best method for the most affordable and fastest delivery to your address.
Expedited Shipping is available on some orders and to most destinations. If you require expedited shipping on your order, please request expedited shipping in the Order Notes at checkout. You will then be contacted by phone with estimated shipping times and costs.
Please note: Oversize packages may incur higher shipping costs than our normally published shipping estimates. In these cases, you will be contacted by phone or email prior to your package shipping.
Our partners always strive to have items listed on our Web site in stock. However, we may sell out of a specific item. In this event, we will attempt to notify you that the product has been back-ordered and will ship the item to you as soon as possible. We do not offer backorders on items that sell for less than $20.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns or Exchanges are handled by the individual business selling the product. Specific Return & Exchange policies for each business are below.
Hershberger's Farm and Bakery ships products using USPS, UPS, and FedEX. Orders received weekdays before 2 p.m. Eastern time will be processed the same day. Orders received after 2 p.m. weekdays will be processed the following day with the exception of Fridays. Orders received Friday after 2 p.m., on Saturday, or Sunday, will be processed the following Monday.
Some oversized or overweight packages may require shipping charges beyond those quoted by this Web site. In those rare cases, you will be contacted by phone or email with shipping details.
We only list items on this site that can be shipped reasonably well and that typically arrive undamaged. Unfortunately, there are some items -like pies - that just do not ship well. Most bakery items will be shipped by 2 day express shipping with the goal of your order arriving quickly so it remains fresh. We charge the exact shipping cost passed on from the delivery company.
Gift Boxes & Candy Trays
The food gift boxes contain items like some meats and cheeses that are safe to be shipped without refrigeration. However, we still want those items to arrive to you as quickly as possible. Food gift boxes and candy trays ship by 2 day express service and shipping charges are applied per box at the exact rate charged by the carrier. Please refrigerate your items appropriately upon arrival.
Returns or Exchanges
Upon arrival of your new package from Hershberger's Farm and Bakery via DiscoverHolmesCounty.com, please inspect it carefully. If you are not satisfied for any reason, please call us (330) 674-6096 to discuss your concerns. In these cases the merchandise may be returned for store credit within 20 days of purchase or exchanged. If a return for store credit or refund is warranted, we will issue you a return authorization number and provide instructions on how to return the product. Please note that a restocking fee will be assessed on any item not returned in new (unused) condition.

Any merchandise returned must be in new, unused condition (tags intact, unwashed, unworn, unused) and in the original packaging. You are responsible for shipping charges on returned products. To avoid shipping charges, merchandise may be returned to our store for exchange or refund at 5452 State Route 557, Millersburg, OH 44654. You must call in advance and take a printed copy of your order to the store with your merchandise.

We understand that sizing mistakes happen. In the event you ordered a wrong size, please call (330) 674-6096 to arrange for an exchange. You may choose to have the new size shipped immediately by charging your credit card (we will refund the additional charge less shipping costs when the incorrectly sized item is returned). You may also choose to wait until the incorrect sized item has been returned before the new size is shipped. You will be responsible for shipping charges for the exchange.
Bakery Items may not be returned! In the event that you are not satisfied with your bakery products, please contacts by phone or email within 24 hours of the receipt of the products. We may ask you to send us a photograph of the product. If we determine there is an issue with the quality of the product we will either replace the product or refund your purchase at our discretion.
Customized products (i.e. monograms, stitched initials, custom decorated items, custom leather goods, etc.) may not be returned.
Clothing may be returned for store credit provided each item is in new, unworn condition. This means that all tags, labels, stickers, and other packaging or labeling must still be attached to the garment being returned. Any items deemed to be worn or otherwise used will not be accepted as returns.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for your return or exchange to be processed.
