Take your chance at our famous pumpkin slingshot\, let your children play all afternoon in the giant corn box\, or watch our Percheron Draft Horses as they press sorghum cane stalks to make molasses. How high can you climb on our straw castle? Take a lunch break by enjoying barbecue chicken\, noodles and beans\, desserts\, and more. And don’t forget to take a peaceful\, cool\, horse-drawn wagon ride through the Farm to feed animals such as giraffes\, zebras\, bison\, and much more!

SUMMARY:Fall Steam Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum’s Fall Steam Festival: Trains\, Tractors & Traditions\, is an event to relive some of the most fondly remembered aspects of historic Americana; steam machines\, base ball\, and hotdogs. With the help of the Iron Horses of the Erie Railroad vintage base ball club\, guests to this event can watch base ball played as it was in the old days\, in empty fields\, with little more equipment than what you and your friends could sling over your shoulders. There will be a food vendor present to sell hotdogs and other fare to guests while they enjoy the ball games. \nApart from base ball\, various steam tractor operators will be present to showcase their machines\, including a shingle mill and other belt-driven implements. This year we will have a tinsmith and blacksmith on site from Historic Zoar Village crafting various objects.  All of this will be framed with the museum’s own steam locomotive which will give rides on the museum grounds to guests throughout the event. This special event will prove to be a fun and exciting experience for those who want to get a taste of the classic\, Norman Rockwell era of American leisure and life.

From wine and cheese samplings to races\, contests\, and parades\, the Swiss Festival offers something for everyone. Sponsored by the Ohio Swiss Cheese Association\, Sugarcreek Business Association\, and the Village of Sugarcreek\, this year's festival takes place September 25th - 27th. There’s music\, food\, and entertainment each day of the festival\, and parking can be found invarious locations downtown \nThis great historic festival is hosted just across the Holmes County border in Sugarcreek\, Ohiop (Tuscarawas County).
